Precautions for installation, use and maintenance of Aerospace BAYKEE Online UPS

  1. Precautions for installation of Baykee OnlineUPS

Before installing the online UPS, you need to confirm the operating environment of the UPS. The UPS application site has requirements for temperature (0℃~+40℃), humidity (30%~90%), altitude, dust and other corrosive substances. Of course, outdoor UPS is another matter. Secondly, you need to confirm the UPS power distribution environment, the input power supply capacity of the UPS must meet the requirements, and check whether the cable size meets the standard. UPS is an AC power supply. Before installation, you need to carefully check whether the input, output voltage and frequency meet the requirements for use, and whether the neutral and ground wires are required. For single-phase machine mains access terminal, it is necessary to distinguish live wire and neutral wire to ensure wiring safety.

  1. Precautions for the use of Baykee Online UPS

Before starting the Baykee Online UPS power supply, you must ensure that the input and output wiring is correct, and all cables meet the power requirements. Use the multimeter to test whether the input voltage and frequency are within the Online UPS input requirements, whether the neutral wire is connected correctly, and whether the ground wire is correct. Test whether the output load is short-circuited, and calculate whether the load capacity exceeds the output capacity of the Online UPS.

 

2.1. The first power-on operation test with mains supply

  1. Check whether the mains voltage and frequency are correct.
  2. Close the bypass switch and output switch, check whether the UPS is started and whether the bypass is normally powered.
  3. Close the rectifier switch, automatic rectification working, then the battery low-voltage indicator light is off,the inverter indicator light is on, and it automatically switches to inverter operation. Use amultimeter to test the output voltage and wait 3 minutes to observe whether all fans are operating normally.
  4. Close the battery switch, the Online UPS will test the battery, and then re-rectify, when the re-rectification is normal, use the DC ammeter to test the charging current.

2.2. Battery operation test

  1. Disconnect the rectifier switch, simulate the battery inverter work, and test whether the battery power supply is normal.
  2. Then close the rectifier switch, switch to rectifier and inverter work and charge the battery.

2.3. Mains daily startup operation process

  1. Close the bypass switch (upward), the UPS starts normally, and the display and fan start.
  2. Close the rectifier switch (upward), automatic rectification working, then the battery low-voltage indicator light goes out, the inverter indicator light turns on, and it automatically switches to inverter operation. Use the multimeter to test the output voltage.
  3. After the battery low-voltage light is off, close the battery switch. When the Online UPS has no alarm status indication, it will automatically switch to normal operation.
  4. Close the output switch.

2.4. Shutdown process

  1. Turn off the load.
  2. Press F1+F2 on the panel at the same time (turn off the inverter).
  3. Turn off the battery and rectifier switch.
  4. Turn off the bypass and output switches.
  5. Precautions for maintenance of Baykee UPS.
    • Regularly checks the insulation of all cables of the Online UPS to see if there is any aging or damage. If there is, it should be dealt with immediately to avoid safety accidents. For the battery, check whether there is leakage, expansion and heating; whether the terminals are loose; whether the battery wire or copper bar is heating.
    • Check whether the vents of the Online UPS are blocked, and ensure that the temperature of the data center room is within the normal range, otherwise the service life of the Online UPS will be shortened or even damaged.
    • Dust prevention and regular dust removal.
    • Check whether all the LED indicator status and LCD display information are normal.
    • Check the Online UPS operating event record, whether there is a fault alarm, and analyze the power supply operation.
    • Turn off the power and check whether all screws are tight and whether the wires are
    • Listen to whether there is any abnormal change in the sound of the Online UPS when it is working (under normal circumstances, only the sound of the cooling fan should be heard).
    • Prevent the Online UPS power supply from starting with a load, and ensure that the total load power at the output end of the Online UPS is about 60%-80% (KW) of the total output power of the Online UPS. It is necessary to prevent long-term operation under full load. Operating under full load for a long term or increasinghigh-power load will damage the loop converter and affect the service life of the Online UPS.
